Happiness is an extraordinary destination that blends leisure, adventure, and an authentic Australian experience amid the lush hills of the Gold Coast. The property is a captivating fusion of the quirky and the captivating, where the old meets the new. Tucked into the forest are rustic, weathered sheds and treehouses, relics from the 1950s, standing in striking contrast to the bold, modern lines of newly constructed brutalist Mexican architecture. All of this unfolds across a sprawling 200-acre forest estate.

Currently, visitors can enjoy an 18-hole golf course, a world-class downhill mountain bike park, a wedding venue, and a vibrant restaurant and bar. Future plans include the addition of a resort, villas, a wellness center, event spaces, and an art gallery. The design challenge was to create a cohesive vision that embraced the diverse offerings while respecting the property's deep-rooted origins. The goal was to strike a balance between honoring the site's authentic past and envisioning something both extraordinary and imaginative.

The solution? To craft an atmosphere that feels dreamlike and full of discovery—a place that invites guests to explore, relax, and have fun in unexpected ways. By weaving together elements of the old and new, the design elevates the site’s sense of wonder while staying grounded in its unique Australian heritage.
